Unilabs announces changes to its Senior Management Team
Geneva, February 6th, 2017. European medical diagnostics leader Unilabs today announced the departure of its CFO, Karl Erik Clausen. He will leave the company on May 8th, 2017. Philipp Manser has been appointed as his successor.
Karl Erik has decided to retire from a fulfilling and successful corporate career in Finance to pursue a private venture. Since joining Unilabs as CFO in October 2014, he has made a significant contribution to the company’s longest streak of above market organic growth.
Jos Lamers, CEO of Unilabs commented: “Through his energy and leadership, Karl Erik has played a pivotal role in concluding the recent sale of Unilabs to Apax Partners LLP and in successfully refinancing the company. This marks a key milestone in Unilabs’ future and I’d like to thank Karl Erik for having accompanied us to this point. We wish him the best of luck in the pursuit of his new private and professional ventures.”
To succeed Karl Erik, Unilabs has selected Philipp Manser as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective as of May 8th, 2017 when Philipp joins the company.
Philipp Manser, a Swiss national, holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and a degree in Sports from the University of Basle. He brings 25 years of well-rounded corporate finance expertise gathered in various international leadership positions in Asia, Latin America and Europe. Philipp’s experience includes a solid track record in pharmaceuticals, the hospitality as well as the financial service industry. His recent assignments include Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of the Global Blue Group from 2009 to 2015, and since 2016 he is the chairman of the steering committee which guides the unbundling process of the Kuoni group, a leading service provider to the global travel industry. Philipp is married and has 4 children.
